Chandigarh, March 20
The Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) has extended the last date for receiving applications under the scheme for oustees to March 28.
Sources said the board had taken the decision in view of the problem relating to non-funding of earnest money deposits (EMD) by dedicated banks in favour of eligible oustees.
The Chandigarh Housing Board, at its own level, has taken this issue with dedicated as well as other banks and urged them to come forward and finance the amount of earnest money deposits in favour of oustees, who are facing financial problems for the registration and allotment of dwelling units under the scheme of the Chandigarh Housing Board.
Earlier, the last date for closure of the scheme was February 28.
