KAITHAL , MARCH 22

AIJASS chief Yashpal Malik today visited the dharna site in Deoban village of this district. Addressing the protesters, he said their patience and struggle had borne fruit and the government was forced to accept their demands.

The Jat leader said their agitation might end but their struggle would continue to get jobs for youth and to fight the drugs menace. Malik said some people tried to create a rift among their ranks but they did not succeed in their aim.

In view of a large turnout at the dharna site, the authorities diverted traffic on kaithal-Assandh route via link roads . Jams were reported near Sheru Kheri village and at other places due to the diversion of traffic. — OC
