SGPC presents annual budget of Rs 1,106 crore, focuses on youth

AMRITSAR: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on Wednesday presented its annual budget of around Rs 1,106 crore for the year 2017-18.

With its focus on promoting education and propagating Sikh religion, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on Wednesday presented its annual budget of around Rs 1,106 crore for the year 2017-18.

This is Rs 42 crore more than that of last year, which was Rs 1,064.14 crore.

Officials said the centre of attention in the budget will be Sikh youth. To channelise their energies in the right direction, special funds have been kept reserved to elevate the education standards and nurturing them for professional careers.
