Solan Eco Club awarded

Eco Club of MRA DAV Public School has bagged the second prize in the state-level best eco club segment. The award was given by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh World Environment Day yesterday.

The club was adjudged the second best. Principal Anupma Sharma said the members of the club had worked hard to generate awareness on environment conservation among students. She said: “It is important to sensitise young learners about various environment issues so that they become active crusaders in the war against environment degradation when they grow up.” She said such values imbibed at a young age could help the students develop a genuine interest in the conservation of environment. — TNS
