NANGAL: Two people were crushed to death when a Scorpio car rammed into a roadside eatery at Brahmpur village near here on Sunday evening.

Two people were crushed to death when a Scorpio car rammed into a roadside eatery at Brahmpur village near here on Sunday evening. The deceased have been identified as Ramdev (45) and Gurbakhsh (60).

Assistant Sub-Inspector Roshan Lal said the speeding SUV coming from Anandpur Sahib side suddenly turned towards the right side and rammed into the shop. Ramdev, the brother of shop owner Ashok, and customer Gurbaksh, who was having tea, were killed in the accident. The occupants of the car, including the driver, fled from the spot after leaving the vehicle on the spot, said the police.
