CLU nod for women’s varsity in Y’nagar

Chandigarh, March 22

Committed to promote girl’s education in the state and ensure that they do not have to travel far to get quality education, the state government has decided to grant change of land use (CLU) permission for setting up of DAV Women University in the revenue estate of Panjeto, Mukarampur, Chaneta and Mundakhera villages in Chhachhrauli tehsil of Yamunanagar district.

The university will be constructed on 56.79 acres at an estimated cost of Rs 193.04 crore. The request for the CLU made by the DAV managing committee had earlier been rejected by the government in March 2013. — TNS
