Girdawari starts in Karnal

In a respite to hundreds of farmers who had suffered loss due to floods in the Yamuna, district-level officials have started girdawari. However, it took around a month after the CM had announced a special girdawari. In all, 15 villages of Indri and Gharaunda blocks will be covered. Rajbir Dhiman, District Revenue Officer, said the damaged area covered under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana or any other crop insurance scheme would not be included in it. — TNS
