Man drowns in pond in Indora, body found

NURPUR: Indora police today recovered the body of a man identified as Pawan Singh (47) of Jaint village in Dini Larth gram panchayat from the village pond.

Indora police today recovered the body of a man identified as Pawan Singh (47) of Jaint village in Dini Larth gram panchayat from the village pond. The locals first noticed the body floating in the pond this morning and informed panchayat pradhan who further intimated police.

The police, after fishing out the body, sent it to Nurpur civil hospital for a postmortem examination.

As per information, the deceased was a labourer and had not returned back home last evening. His family started a search but could not trace him. In the morning his towel was found near the pond and body was seen floating in the pond.

The police have registered the case under section 174 of the CrPc after preliminary investigations.
