Former Congress minister Singhi Ram on Saturday joined the BJP in the presence of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
There has been a sudden turn of events for the worse in the life of the former minister during the past few year.
First the first time, in 2008, he was denied the ticket from Rampur he represented six times after his relations with former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh turned sour.
Singhi Ram was also arrested in the alleged forged certificate case that year. He had in his early years of politics managed to make it big with the blessings of Virbhadra Singh.
