One held for drug peddling

Phagwara: The Phagwara police have arrested a man on the charge of drug peddling. He was identified as Raj Kumar.  Around 1,410 intoxicant capsules and 30 tablets were recovered from his possession on Saturday. The accused was nabbed near local Civil Hospital when he was going to sell intoxicants on Activa scootor. The police have registered a case. OC

Girl nabbed with heroin 

Phagwara:  A courier girl Manisha (23), a resident of Khajurala village near Phagwara, was nabbed by Hoshiarpur Police and 25 gm of heroin was recovered from her possession on Friday night. A few syringes were also recovered from her purse. A case has been registered. OC

Mobile snatched

Phagwara: Two unidentified motorcycle-borne robbers snatched a mobile phone from a girl Madhu, a resident of local Chahal Nagar on Saturday. The girl was returning home when the robbers struck near local Civil Hospital. The police have registered a case. OC
