Over 3,500 patients treated in dental health fortnight

JALANDHAR: The 27th Dental Fortnight from February 11 to February 27 is being observed in various medical centres of the district.

The 27th Dental Fortnight from February 11 to February 27 is being observed in various medical centres of the district. To assess this fortnight at the state level, Dr Rajesh Sharma Additional Director, Dental, and Dr Nirlep Kaur, Deputy Director visited the Civil Hospital’s dental OPD yesterday. They reviewed the treatment being received by various patients. They also saw the dental health exhibition put up at the hospital on the occasion.

Civil surgeon Dr Maninder Kaur Minhas said 3,513 patients had been treated since the start of the programme. During the fortnight, there is a target to provide dental sets to 165 poor and needy patients, she added. On the occasion, Dr Gurinder Kaur, District Dental Health Officer was also present.
