A sewage water treatment plant of Seechewal model will be set up in Kheri Naudh Singh village here at the cost of Rs1.25 lakh to solve the-long pending demand of the villagers to treat stagnant water. The amount has been cleared by the state government. for this purpose, said MLA Bassi Pathana Gurpreet Singh GP, while laying the foundation stone of treatment plant in the presence of villagers.

The MLA said with this plant, the stagnant water in the village would be treated and the water would be provided to the farmers for watering their crops in the village.

The MLA also stated that this plant would be a modern one and three wells would be dug up to treat filthy water of the village. The villagers will be relieved of standing muddy water. He said later some more villages of the area would be brought under the scheme. The MLA assured that the work on the treatment plant would commence soon and it would be completed in 6 months.

Congress leaders of the village Varinderpal Singh Winki thanked MLA for the plant and said this was a long-pending demand of the villagers and some minor disputes had erupted due to standing water in streets and other places in the village. Block Congress president Dr Amarjit Sohal, XEN Jasvir Singh of Panchayati Raj and other concerned were present on the occasion.
