KHAMANO: A woman died while her husband received injuries after a rashly driven car hit their motorcycle near Gurdwara Sahib, Ranwan.

A woman died while her husband received injuries after a rashly driven car hit their motorcycle near Gurdwara Sahib, Ranwan.

The deceased has been identified as Rajinder Kaur, while the injured was identified as Rajinder Singh of Amrala village. As per the information and statement with the Khamano police, Bikar Singh said his brother Rajinder Singh had gone to Khamano with his wife on his motorcycle and when they were returning, a car suddenly coming from behind hit their motorcycle near Gurdwara Sahib resulting on the spot death of Rajinder Kaur, while his brother was injured seriously. The injured was rushed to the Khamano Civil Hospital, from where he was referred to the Fatehgarh Sahib Civil Hospital in a serious condition. A case was registered against the accused car driver, who managed to escape after the incident. — OC
