TMC’s Nusrat Jahan Ruhi and Mimi Chakraborty took oath as members of the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. The actors-turned-politicians could not take oath earlier as Nusrat recently got married and Chakraborty also attended the ceremony in Turkey
The two took oath in Bangla and ended it with words like ‘Vande Mataram’, ‘Jai Hind’ and ‘Jai Bangla’. Nusrat came to Parliament with a bunch of wedding bangles, in a white and purple saree and had henna-based designs on her hands. photo: Mukesh Aggarwal
