The CBI has taken into custody Sports Authority of India director SK Sharma, junior accounts officer Harinder Prasad, supervisor Lalit Jolly and clerk VK Sharma in connection with a case of alleged corruption. Besides, a contractor, Mandeep Ahuja, was also arrested. The director and the other officials were arrested for allegedly demanding commission for passing a bill of Rs 19 lakh. The CBI officials reached the SAI headquarters at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium around 5 pm and sealed the entire premises to search and question the staffers.

Rajasthan Royals owner set to sell stakes
Indian Premier League franchise Rajasthan Royals’ owners are all set to sell half of their stakes in order to give the side a much-needed financial boost ahead of the 12th edition of popular league. It has been learnt that the current franchise owners have intimated key BCCI officials of their decision to sell around fifty per cent of their stakes. Manoj Badale is the principal owner of Rajasthan Royals. “Yes, Royals are selling a major part of their stakes, and some business houses are apparently interested,” said a senior BCCI official.
