Rajkot, December 8
Mumbai were in trouble at 8/2 after Punjab rode on Mayank Sidhana’s century and skipper Gurkeerat Mann's 93 to notch up 468 in the Ranji Trophy match here today. Resuming at an overnight 216/4, Punjab lost Gitansh Khera (16) early on. Punjab, however, recovered quickly from the blow as Mann and Sidhana gathered 178 runs for the sixth wicket, taking their team past the 400-run mark. But once Mann fell for 93, Punjab suffered a massive collapse with the last five batsmen adding just 34 runs to the total.
In reply, Mumbai had a horror start. They lost Shreyas Iyer for a second-ball duck and Armaan Jaffer for 1.
