Chandigarh Carnival from Nov 23-25

Chandigarh Carnival will be organised at the open ground opposite the Museum and Art Gallery in Sector 10 here from November 23 to 25.

The theme of the carnival this year is “Gandhi Gram” in commemoration of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Jitender Yadav, Director, Tourism, Chandigarh Administration, at the UT Secretariat today to discuss the preparations for the celebrations.

The event will see a carnival parade consisting of various floats and tableaux, cultural and fun activities, exhibition of vintage cars, joy rides for children, runs and walkathons, display of art and food delicacies and performances by famous Bollywood and Punjabi singers. An annual event organised by the UT Administration, the carnival aims at providing a platform to promote talent in the city.
