The preliminary examination of the Haryana Civil Services (Executive) and Allied Services was conducted smoothly amidst tight security arrangements at all examination centres in Panchkula today.
Deputy Commissioner Mahavir Kaushik and Deputy Commissioner of Police Surinder Pal Singh inspected the examination centres and took stock of the arrangements made for conducting the examination in a fair and transparent manner.
The administration ensured CCTV cameras, jammers, checking points and other necessary security arrangements at the examination centres.
Mahavir Kaushik said before the examination, he met officials to review the arrangements made for the successful conduct of the examination. He said the examination was conducted in two phases at 48 centres in Panchkula, Kalka and Pinjore from 10 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 5 pm.
In order to conduct the examination in a fair and transparent manner, eight flying squad officers/duty magistrates, paper distributor station officers and other concerned staff were appointed.
‘Special centres should be made’
Differently abled candidates who appeared for the Haryana Civil Services and Allied Services Exam said the HPSC should have made special exam centres near their hometown. The candidates said they had to reach the city a day earlier as they had to travel for more than 8 hours.
