Kapurthala bowlers performed exceptionally well to help the side take the driver’s seat on the third day of the four-day Punjab Inter-District final match for Dhruv Pandove Trophy, at the IS Bindra PCA Stadium.

Resuming from the overnight total of 270 runs, the Kapurthala lads were bowled out for 280 in 109.5 overs in their first innings. Patiala, in their second innings, was bundled out for 167 runs in 67.4 overs. At the end of the day’s play, Kapurthala posted 27/1 in 15 overs, still trailing by 92 runs.

Kapurthala added 10 runs to their overnight total before getting allout in 109/5 overs. Abhinav Rao claimed three wickets, while Yuvraj Singh and Damanpreet Singh took two wickets each for the bowling side.

Patiala, in their second innings, scored 167 runs with the help of Kabir Garg (36), Damanpreet (29) and Anantbir Singh (20). In reply, Kapurthala were 27/1 in 15 overs at the drawn of stumps. Kunwardeep Singh Nagra (11) and Kamal (10) left the crease unbeaten. Damanpreet took the only wicket for 11 runs for Patiala.
