The three-day Qawwali Mahotsava organised by the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), Patiala, concluded with a captivating spell of devotional, sufiana and modern qawwalis by Tasneem Arif at the Tagore Theatre here on Monday.

Arif commenced the programme with 'Chahe pooja karo ya ibadat karo sar jhukane ki lekin ada ek hai', themed at promoting harmony and mutual brotherhood among all communities. The ensemble presented a popular qawwali number 'Bhar doh jholi meri'. Arif then also presented 'Ab khat bhi nahin aatey, sada bhi nahin aati' doling out soothing couplets to augment the emotions of lament and sorrow.

Saubhgya Vardhan, director, NZCC, honoured the artistes. He said the centre would organise 'National Classical Dance Festival-2018' at Kalagram from October 24 to 31.
