The district recorded the second lowest turnout for Covid vaccination at 33 per cent on Friday.

At 10.7 per cent, the lowest vaccination turnout was recorded on January 18.

As many as 376 healthcare workers took the first jab against the target of 1,140, the Health Department said.

Despite vaccination being held at 13 session sites, the coverage rate stood at 33 per cent – far lowest than first day’s coverage of 94.7 per cent.

The vaccination drive is being held at Civil Dispensary, Sector 7, National Health Mission (NHM) office, Civil Hospital, Sub-Divisional Hospital, Kalka, Primary Health Centre (PHC), Morni, PHC, Nanakpur, PHC, Pinjore, PHC, Surajpur, PHC, Old Panchkula, Community Health Centre (CHC), Raipur Rani, PHC, Barwala, PHC, Hangola, and PHC, Kot.

At least 3,298 healthcare staff had received the first jab so far. The vaccine achievement rate stands at 55.2 per cent.

As many as 6,219 health workers – 3,541 government and 2,678 private professionals – have been identified for the first phase of the drive.
