Yamunanagar, February 29

The police have arrested a woman and her son for allegedly killing her husband in Yamunanagar district. The accused have been identified as Pinki and her son Bhanuj Rana of Dwarkapuri Colony of Jagadhri.

According to information, the deceased, Hitesh Rana, had left home with Rs 25,000 on February 25 but didn’t return home. Next day, a half-burnt body of Hitesh was found lying near Dadupur-Nalvi Canal in Jarodi village.

On the complaint of Bhanuj Rana, the son of the deceased, a case was registered against unknown persons under Sections 302 and 201 of the IPC at the City Police Station, Jagadhri.

Police spokesman Chamkaur Singh said a joint team of CIA-II and the City Police Station, Jagadhri, had arrested Hitesh’s wife Pinki and her son Bhanuj yesterday. He said they were produced before a court in Jagadhri today from where Pinki was sent to judicial custody and her son Bhanuj was taken on one-day police remand.
