Jammu, January 24
The full dress rehearsal for the celebration of 75th Republic Day took place at the Polo Ground in Leh town on Wednesday. Leh Deputy Commissioner Santosh Sukhadeve unfurled the National flag and presided over the parade.
The rehearsal ceremony consisted of marching contingents from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Central Reserved Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Ladakh Police (men/Women), SPOs, ex-serviceman, National Cadet Corps (NCC) boys/ girls, NCC Kargil (Boys) and others. Furthermore, the Ladakh police’s dog squad demonstrated a drill as part of the rehearsal.
Cultural performances were also presented by different schools from both Leh and Kargil districts and Culture Academy, Jammu.
Also, dress rehearsal was held at the New Stadium of sub-division Khaltse. Incharge Tehsildar, Khaltse, Mohammad Yousuf presided over the parade while Assistant Sub-Inspector Mohammad Aslam was the Parade Commander of the marching contingents.
