Shiromani Akali Dal’s faux pas

Jalandhar: The media teams of Shiromani Akali Dal today committed a faux pas by sharing a contrived photograph of the new PPCC chief Navjot Singh Sidhu with the media and later realising its mistake. The photograph showed him carrying a poster of ex-PM Indira Gandhi in his hand during a road show. The team members did not realise that it was infact a yesterday’s photo outside Khatkar Kalan and he was actually holding a picture of Bhagat Singh in his hand at that time. Realising its mistake, the teams sent apologetic messages to everyone whom the contrived photo had been broadcast. Since, it was almost an hour after the team made out the mistake, it could not even delete the photos sent through WhatsApp. TNS
