How would you define your growth as an actor?

I am still learning, gaining more each day and will continue to do so. I can’t rate my growth.

When you decided to be an actor, did your family support you?

My family has always been supportive. They have been with me through thick and thin. When I was at my lowest and needed their support, I got more than I wanted and that has been my biggest strength.

How is Tere Bina Jiya Jaye Naa different from the earlier shows you have done?

This is a very different and a unique show, as most of the stories end with the realisation of a dream. Our story begins with a dream coming true and how that dream is being lived.

How similar or different are you from your character?

Very different; some traits might be relatable but apart from that the mannerisms of Devraj Singh Rathore are not similar to me. But that is the beauty of it all; you make the audience believe that your character is just like you.

How does it feel to be paired up with Anjali Tatrari?

She is a very good actress and a great human being. We get along well, as we have a similar liking for dance and music.

You are from Moga in Punjab, what do you miss about it in Mumbai?

I miss my parents while I’m in Mumbai. They like staying in Chandigarh, so I get to meet them only twice or thrice a year.

What ambitions do you have?

I want to keep gaining wisdom.

What was your most challenging role till date?

Every role is challenging because it requires lots of preparation. If the preparation is not up to the mark, then justice has not been done to the character.

Do you think OTT platforms have changed the game?

Yes, to an extent. OTT platforms have their own set of viewers.
