Diksha declared best athlete at Devi Jain college sports meet

Diksha, a student of BA III, secured the gold medal in the the 100m and 200m sprint events. After securing multiple gold medals, she was declared the best athlete of the annual athletics meet at Devi Jain Memorial College for Women, Kidwai Nagar, on Thursday.

The athletics meet featured various track and field events along with a lot of additional, fun games and activities for students.

In the 100m sprint, Diksha was followed by Jyoti and Taniya in the second and third spots, respectively.

In the 200m race, Diksha proved too fast for her rivals as she secured another gold. Sapna and Taniya finished in second and third place, respectively. In the relay race, the quartet of Diksha, Jyoti, Aarti, and Taniya secured the top spot, whereas in the shot put event, Jyoti emerged as the winner, followed by Kiran and Kajal. In the discus throw, Kajal, Kiran, and Khushi secured the top three positions. In the long jump, Aishni secured the top spot, while Sharon stood second and Kiran finished third.

The president of the college managing committee, Nand Kumar Jain, was the chief guest. College principal Sarita Bahl welcomed the office bears of the committee and thanked the faculty members for organising the meeting.
