A man resorted to celebratory firing at a hotel on Tuesday night. The Dugri police nabbed him and recovered the licenced weapon.
A case under Section 336 of the IPC was registered against Harminder Singh, resident of Urban Estate yesterday.
Investigating officer ASI Harjap Singh said a party was going on at a hotel in Phase-III, Dugri, on Tuesday night. Harminder, who had taken his licenced weapon along, resorted to celebratory firing.
When Harminder fired gunshots in the air, panic spread in the hotel and someone called the Police Control Room, following which cops from the Dugri police station reached and nabbed Harminder.
