Security guard held for theft

Ludhiana, October 15

The police have arrested Avtar Singh, resident of Lachman Nagar, and registered a case against him under Section 381 of the IPC. A complaint was lodged by Jasjot Singh, resident of Model Town Extension, that Avtar Singh, employed as a security guard in his firm Value Max Clothing in Focal Point Phase VI, had been stealing polyester cotton yarn from his factory during the period August 2020 to October 10, 2021.

In the course of investigation, police recovered 22-24 cones of yarn weighing around 45 kg from the accused. — OC
