Chandigarh, November 20
With the state witnessing a spike in Covid cases and a number of schoolchildren testing positive in the past couple of days, the Haryana Government on Friday ordered the closure of all schools in the state until November 30.
“In the past couple of days, 175 schoolchildren and 107 teachers have tested positive during random sampling in some schools. It is in view of this development that we have decided to close schools till the end of this month,” said Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar.
Gujjar said the orders would also be applicable to private schools in the state. The Directorate of School Education issued a letter to all District Education Officers and Block Education Officers, ordering closure of all schools till November 30. — TNS
