Amritsar: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked its schools to develop relevant images and videos on best practices to be uploaded on the Shagun web portal. As per the CBSE, the Shagun repository has been designed to change the narrative of school education by showcasing the multitude of innovative and successful models being implemented by schools. It enables these successful initiatives to be replicated and taken to scale and will also encourage positive competition. The schools have been asked to upload. TNS
Prize distribution function
Amritsar: RD Kholsa School organised its 38th anuual prize distribution function. The theme of the function was ‘Nrityanjali’. Chief guest Rohit Gupta, SDM, Batala, inaugurated the function. Pulwama martyrs remembered
Amritsar: The NCC wing of BBK DAV College paid homage to the CRPF jawans who laid down their lives in Pulwama terror strike. Sudarshan Kapoor, chairman, local advisory committee, and Principal Pushpinder Walia lighted lamps in the memory of the martyrs. Walia said, “The country owes its sovereignty, security and integrity to the soldiers who make the supreme sacrifice.” NCC cadets sang patriotic songs and recited poems in the honour of martyrs. TNS
