Unaided school staff submits memo to Punjab CM

Tarn Taran, December 13

Leaders of the Unaided School Front, Punjab, presented a memorandum of demands to the Punjab Chief Minister through Deputy Commissioner Kulwant Singh here on Monday. The main demand of the front was the regularization of the staff working in the aided schools over the last few years.

Harpreet Singh, state president of the front, said the front had been demanding regular jobs for staff in the aided schools, besides the implementation of the equal pay act. The front also sought the sanctioning of posts of teaching and non-teaching staff according to the strength of students in such schools across the state. — OC
