IIT scientist delivers lecture at GNDU

AMRITSAR: A special lecture on ‘Pulsed electro-acoustic technique for measuring charge trapped in material’ was organised by the Department of Electronics Technology, Guru Nanak Dev University, here on Wednesday.

A special lecture on ‘Pulsed electro-acoustic technique for measuring charge trapped in material’ was organised by the Department of Electronics Technology, Guru Nanak Dev University, here on Wednesday.

CC Reddy, an eminent scientist and senior faculty from the department of electrical engineering, IIT Ropar, delivered the lecture. Reddy has worked with multinational companies in India and abroad before joining IIT Ropar. His areas of research are the mechanism of conduction and breakdown in dielectrics, space charges in dielectrics, nanocomposite dielectrics and signal processing in high voltage engineering. Ravinder Singh Sawhney, head of the department, Sukhleen Bindra, Shalini Bahel and other faculty were present during the lecture. — TNS
