Amritsar, April 18

Even after the passage of two days, the police are clueless about the identification of a deceased whose body was found from a drain in Azaibwali village on Monday morning.

“We have sent his pictures to all the police stations falling under the border range for his identification. But we are yet to get any clue for his identification,” said Sukhraj Singh, Station Head Officer, Kathunangal police station.

The only think that the police know is his name written on his right arm which reads ‘Rezjak’. The SHO said he was not sure if it was his real name. The body bore several injury marks. The postmortem will be conducted on Thursday. A case under Sections 302 and 201 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered. It appears that he has been murdered somewhere else and dumped here in the drain.
