BATHINDA: Nandlal Kansal, president of the District Chemists Association, today said the association supports the drive started by the new government against the drug menace, but it appeals to the district administration and police officials not to harass chemists without any reason.

Nandlal Kansal, president of the District Chemists Association, today said the association supports the drive started by the new government against the drug menace, but it appeals to the district administration and police officials not to harass chemists without any reason.

He was speaking during a meeting of the association held here today. Presidents of 11 units of the association and their office-bearers were present at the meeting.

Members of the association discussed various important issues and problems being faced by them. It was also announced that if any chemist was found selling drugs, then the association would not support him.

The district president also stated that to resolve their problems, an 11-member coordination committee had been constituted and one member from every unit included in the panel. Ramesh Garg has been elected as the chairman of the panel unanimously.

Ashok Balianwali from Retail Chemist Association, district organising secretary Ved Parkash , district cashier Kamal Goyal, Arun Singla, Jiwan Garg and others were present also present.
