Industrial output dips to 20-mth low

NEW DELHI: Industrial output growth slowed to a 20-month low of 0.1% in February, mainly due to contraction in the manufacturing sector, official data showed on Friday.



NEW DELHI: Industrial output growth slowed to a 20-month low of 0.1% in February, mainly due to contraction in the manufacturing sector, official data showed on Friday. Factory output, as measured in terms of the Index of Industrial Production (IIP), had grown by 6.9% in February 2018, according to data released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO). During April-February 2018-19, industrial output grew at 4% as against 4.3% in the same period of the previous fiscal. PTI
