BCA student died due to hanging, reveals autopsy

Chandigarh, February 21

The autopsy report of 19-year-old Bhawna, a BCA student of Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector 42, who was allegedly found hanging in the hostel room, states that the victim died following asphyxia due to hanging.

The victim’s family had doubted the suicide theory and suspected foul play.

Deepak Yadav, DSP (South), said it is clear from the post-mortem report that the victim died due to hanging only.

The victim’s uncle Puneet Talwar said they had not received the post-mortem report yet. “We will decide further course of action only after receiving the post-mortem report,” he said. — TNS
