A large number of residents staying in CHB flats launched  an all-party campaign to solve  their problems once and for all. The residents   under the  CHB Residents’  Federation   started the campaign from  Sector 47 here.

Nirmal Dutt, chairman of the federation, said all leaders   of various political  parties  have extended their support for the cause. He said   it was decided  to approach  all political parties   to forge a consensus to change bylaws to give   them a relief.

Harjinder Kaur, former mayor, and Harmohan Dhawan, former union minister, attended the  meeting  while Pawan  Kumar Bansal,   former union minister, and Sanjay  Tandon,    president, BJP, sent their  support letters.

Nirmal  Dutt said the residents  demanded that the  recently imposed annual penalty must be dropped and all notices should be immediately withdrawn and solution for all types of alleged violations be provided by changing old bylaws that have always been stood in the way of regularisation of need-based changes.

While  addressing the gathering, Dhawan said he would fight for their  causes and if need arise,  he even go to jail  for  them.
