CHANDIGARH: The state-level Kala Utsav was organised at Bhavan Vidayalaya, Sector 27, and GGMSSS, Sector 18, Chandigarh, from November 15 to November 20.

The state-level Kala Utsav was organised at Bhavan Vidayalaya, Sector 27, and GGMSSS, Sector 18, Chandigarh, from November 15 to November 20.

Students participated in dance, music (vocal), music (instrumental) and painting competitions held during the festival. State-level winners (four boys and four girls) further competed at national-level at National Bal Bhawan, New Delhi.

Harsimranjot Kaur, student of GGMSSS-18, bagged the first position in music (vocal) at the national level.

She was honoured with Rs 1,2500, a medal and a trophy by Rina Ray, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, MHRD, New Delhi at Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi recently.
