Drive against encroachments in Panchkula from today

PANCHKULA: The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA), along with the district administration and the Municipal Corporation, will start a special joint enforcement drive tomorrow to remove encroachments in the town.

The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA), along with the district administration and the Municipal Corporation, will start a special joint enforcement drive tomorrow to remove encroachments in the town. The drive will continue till March 1.

On the first day of the drive, encroachments at Bhainsa Tibba village, Sector 4, Mansa Devi Complex and unauthorised meat market in Sector 1 will be removed.

On February 21, shanties in Sector 14 behind the MC office will be razed. Two days later, jhuggis in Sector 4 and 5 will be demolished.

Later, unauthorised ‘rehris’ causing traffic problems in the city will be removed. Sector 7 and 9 have a huge presence of unauthorised vendors.

While the drive will be held in Sector 20 on February 26, Sector 9 and Sector 7 will see officials in action on February 28 and March 1, respectively.
