Zirakpur, October 14
A Baltana resident sustained injuries when a tipper allegedly hit the car he was travelling in near the Zirakpur-Patiala intersection on Friday night.
According to the police, the incident took place around 10.30 pm when the victim, Shyam Singh Rana, was coming towards Zirakpur from the Chandigarh side.
A tipper (PB-11-BA-5302), which was also going in the same direction, reportedly hit his car near the Zirakpur-Patiala intersection.
The victim sustained injuries in the mishap and his condition was stable, the police said.
On Shyam Singh Rana’s complaint, a case has been registered against the tipper driver, Surinder Singh of Lalru, at the Zirakpur police station under relevant sections of the IPC.
The police said investigation into the case had been initiated.
