Met forecasts light rain over next 3 days

Chandigarh, August 13

The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain for the next three days in Chandigarh.

As per weathermen, the city witnessed 48.4 mm rainfall from 8:30 pm on Sunday to 8:30 am on Monday. There was 21.2 mm rainfall from 8:30 am on Monday till late evening. The area near the Chandigarh Airport, however, received more rainfall.

With the change in weather, humidity level also remained around 90 per cent. Rising humidity level may trouble residents in the coming days.

Met officials said it would be “generally cloudy sky with likely thundery development/light rain for the next three days. The officials said the rain is still below normal. However, it has marginally increased as compared to last three years.
