Chandigarh: The Met Department has predicted rain for the next three days. According to the weatherman, rain/thundershowers are likely from February 19 to 21.

The rain is likely to be light and scattered. The sky will be cloudy with haze. The Met Department on Monday recorded 2.2 mm of rainfall in city from 8.30 am to 8.30 pm. TNS

All PGI OPDs  Closed today

Chandigarh: All OPDs at the PGI will remain closed on February 19 on account of Guru Ravidas Jayanti, a gazetted holiday. Emergency services will, however, function as usual.

Twin titles for shuttler Madhu

Kapil shines with ball and bat 

Chandigarh: Kapil Punia took two wickets before hammering a quick-fire half-century to help Chandigarh Police defeat Transmed Kings XI by five wickets in a Champions Corporate Cricket Trophy match here on Monday. Electing to bat, Transmed Kings were all out for 105 runs in 17.5 overs. Ranjeet Gill made 26 runs, while Rajdeep Singh added 19 runs to the total. Ramandeep, Balwinder and Kapil Punia claimed two wickets each. In reply, Chandigarh Police reached home in 13 overs with five wickets in hand. Punia hammered a 32-ball 62, while Hari Om hit 22 off 17 balls. Siddharth claimed three wickets, while Jacob took two wickets for Transmed Kings. TNS
