Chandigarh: City BJP president Sanjay Tandon on Saturday reviewed arrangements for BJP supremo Amit Shah’s programme scheduled for Sunday evening at the Ramlila Ground in Sector 27 here. He will address a workers’ meet here. While sharing the details, Ravinder Pathania, in-charge of the BJP Media Cell, said arrangements were reviewed by BC Puri, Jagtar Singh, Arundeep Singh, Sanjeev Vashisht, Sunil Kalia, Raju Nagpal among others. The police and administrative officers also reviewed the spot minutely for his security. Tandon said the presence of Amit Shah would bring more energy in the campaign. TNS

Chandigarh: AAP candidate Harmohan Dhawan visited Hallo Majra village for door-to-door campaign on Saturday. During an interaction, villagers expressed their annoyance with both Pawan Bansal and Kirron Kher for merging the panchayats with the Municipal Corporation and destroying the heritage of Panchayati Raj. They also said for the past 20 years, Bansal and Kher had been giving false promises of regularisation of houses built outside the Lal Dora. They were unhappy with the performance of the Congress and the BJP and decided to reject them in the forthcoming elections. TNS
