Sectors 50 and 63 of Chandigarh lack basic facilities. These areas do not have proper markets, dispensary, e–Sampark Centre, banking and post office facilities. Health care is also a major issue. The ayurvedic dispensary constructed in July 2017 in Sector 50 is yet to be made functional. The area also lacks public transport facilities due to which people depend on private cab service. The area also needs public toilets, old-age home and playground. The construction of the sports complex has been completed but it is yet to be opened to the public.

Remove garbage
There is a pile of filth on the roadside in Sector 45, Chandigarh. It should be removed at the earliest as foul smell is emanating from it. Garbage must be collected in covered bins and disposed of soon from residential areas to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes.
