Retired government employees today held a protest against “inadequate” facilities at the Central Government’s wellness centre in Sector 45 here.

The protesters said they came from far-away places, but faced several problems at the centre. Sometimes doctors were unavailable and sometimes, the medicine stock was inadequate, they argued.

Pritam Singh, a resident of Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh, said he had not seen a doctor for the past three days.

“The server was down on Wednesday. There was a huge rush of patients on Thursday. I could not see the doctor and take medicines today as there was no power supply at the centre,” he rued.

An official of the dispensary said there was a problem with the electricity supply and the backup was also not functioning.
