Ambala, August 19

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has said the BJP has provided a clean, responsive, transparent and corruption-free rule in the state.

He was addressing a public rally during the second day of the “Jan Ashirwad Yatra”, which reached Ambala City on Monday late evening. The yatra, which was flagged off from Kalka on Sunday, reached here after entering the district from Barara and passing through Mullana, Saha and Ambala Cantonment.

Khattar said the saffron party had taken a pledge to change the way how previous governments functioned and it had delivered whatever it had promised before the last Assembly polls.

Training guns at the successive Congress and INLD-led governments in the state, the CM said the previous governments in Haryana had always put family and relatives first and to realise this aim, they used to indulge in corruption and corrupt practices.

Calling 2.5 crore people of Haryana as his family, Khattar said he had not become the CM to reap the fruits of power, but for him this was an opportunity to serve people.

He said the BJP has set a target of winning 75 plus seats in the ensuing Assembly elections, to achieve which he exhorted the people to vote for the ruling party.

Khattar also remembered former Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who belonged to Ambala Cantonment.

Claiming that Ambala witnessed massive development under the present rule and crores of rupees had been spent in the twin towns and their vicinity, the CM said the BJP remained low profile and kept working for the welfare of the people, who had rewarded it with back-to-back wins in all the elections so far held during the past five years in the state.

Earlier, the BJP MLAs from Ambala Cantonment Anil Vij and Ambala City Aseem Goel assured the CM that the people of both Ambala Assembly constituencies will give both the seats once again to the saffron.
