Man held for killing paramour’s husband

NEW DELHI:Police arrested a man, along with his cousin, for allegedly killing his lover's husband in Najafgarh.

New Delhi, December 11

Police arrested a man, along with his cousin, for allegedly killing his lover's husband in Najafgarh. The suspects have been identified as Sachin Chauhan (26) and Bobby Chauhan (26), said a police official.

The police received a call on Saturday in connection with an unknown body with stab wounds on Najafgarh-Chhawla road. Later, the identity of the victim was revealed as Amit (31).

"Sachin, a distant relative of Amit's wife, often used to visit her in his absence,"  the DCP (Dwarka) said. However, Sachin was found missing from his house since Friday. Police started tracing his location and on Tuesday, Sachin and his Bobby were apprehended, the DCP said.

"It was found that Sachin had an affair with Amit's wife before her marriage. After the marriage, they continued their relationship and they often used to meet at her home in Amit's absence. When Amit came to know about this, he threatened Sachin with dire consequences if he continued to keep relationship with his wife. Sachin, along with Bobby and two other friends Sunny and Deepu, planned to kill Amit, he added.

Sachin met Amit on Friday night and took him to Najafgarh in his car on the pretext of sorting out the issue and stabbed him to death, the DCP said. — TNS
