Amritsar, December 31

Sarbat Khalsa-appointed parallel Jathedars have summoned Akali minister Sikandar Singh Maluka to seek his clarification on taking part in a Hindu religious programme where Sikh ardas was “imitated” at the Akal Takht on January 9. The communiqué, signed by Dhyan Singh, Amrik Singh, Baljit Singh Daduwal, Bhai Major Singh and Bhai Hari Singh, stated that the failure to appear would compel them to chalk out further course of action.

Besides, they also called Nildhari sect’s Baba Satnam Singh, who recently joined the Sikh fold, to appear in person before the Akal Takht on the same day. They said Baba Satnam Singh made objectionable remarks regarding the history of Sikh Gurus during the Katha Kirtan.

A committee has been constituted to prepare reports in both cases and submit the same to these Jathedars before January 9.
