BAHADURGARH: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers raised slogans against the BJP government and Haryana police after they were not allowed to meet Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu here today.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers raised slogans against the BJP government and Haryana police after they were not allowed to meet Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu here today.

The protesters organised a demonstration on the railway station campus when Prabhu was about to leave for Rohtak after interacting with local BJP leaders, railway officials and commuters. The minister arrived here at 10 am and spent merely 13 minutes at Bahadurgarh railway station.

“We just wanted to submit our demand letter to him but the police not only stopped us but also misbehaved with us,” said Shamsher Joon, an AAP leader.

Later, Bahadurgarh MLA Naresh Kaushik welcomed the RM and said that he was not aware about any restrictions to meet the Minister.

He also submitted a memorandum to the Minister seeking direct rail connectivity between Bahadurgarh — Gurgaon and Bahadurgarh — Sonepat, speedy construction of Railway Over-bridge (RoB) at Aasauda, setting up of ticket counter in Linepaar area, extension of EMU upto New Delhi, a RoB at Barahi village, an underpass at Chhotu Ram Nagar and halt of Delhi-Amritsar Shatabdi Express at Bahadurgarh.
