The accused, villagers claimed, were heavily drunk. They allegedly tried to pull the girls inside their car.

An FIR has been registered at the Farrukhanagar police station. All five men were arrested and their car seized.

The incident took place around 1.30 pm when Class XI girl students were returning from school on foot. When they reached near the bus stand, some car-borne drunken youths started stalking them.

They stopped their car and tried to pull them inside. The girls raised the alarm and sought refuge in a nearby shop. Soon, villagers gathered, nabbed the five men and informed the police.
